About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Designer to join our team at Brandon James, a leading construction consultancy based in the North West. As a Senior Principal Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of design risk management across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of Principal Designer duties across multiple projects.
  • Provide expert advice on CDM 2015 regulations to clients and project teams.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and ensure effective hazard elimination.
  • Prepare and review pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
  • Manage health and safety compliance throughout the design and construction process.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
Requirements
  • Degree in a construction-related field.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, CIOB, or APS).
  • Extensive experience as a Principal Designer in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
