Job Description
Norse Group's Consulting services is a national, award-winning property consultancy delivering high profile developments to public and private sector clients across the UK. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the delivery of technical services to new and existing clients in Leeds.
This role provides a chance to work with an experienced team of surveying professionals, offering comprehensive quantity surveying services on various development projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing feasibility studies, cost plans, databases, tender documents, and advising on design economics at project inception.
  • Providing expertise on whole life costing techniques and preparing high-quality tender documentation during tender periods.
  • Undertaking preliminary analysis of tenders, preparing cost breakdowns, and negotiating contract sums under supervision.
  • Controlling post-contract procedures, making valuations for payments, producing financial reports, and monitoring expenditure.
  • Assisting Contract Administrators in evaluating claims for extensions of time and assisting in project management tasks.
Our Successful Candidate:
  • A proven track record in Quantity Surveying roles, demonstrating the ability to undertake work at all stages of a project.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Professional Membership of the RICS, working towards (or willing to achieve) Chartered Status.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations and health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to present findings confidently.
  • A CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
