Job PurposeAs a key member of our Group Security team, you'll play a critical role in creating and maintaining Security Architecture design patterns and reference architectures.
You'll work closely with our internal teams and external partners to develop and drive the realization of our technical security strategy, ensuring the security and compliance of our systems and data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining Security Architecture design patterns and reference architectures
- Developing Architecture standards and ensuring they're kept up to date
- Assuring the applicability and delivery of Security Architecture baselines
- Initiating and maintaining relationships with architecture teams across Liberty Global to jointly establish secure architectures and designs
- Developing and driving the realization of the Liberty Global technical security strategy
- Structuring, planning, and delivering architectural design reviews for new Cloud and On-Premise solutions, and any related products and services, to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate mitigations
- Monitoring and driving security compliance during project lifecycles
- Delivering the technical security aspects to support plan, design, and build for projects
- Engaging across multiple functions to support and drive the modernization of cyber security
- Engaging and working with key stakeholders to develop and drive adoption of Security Policies, Standards, Principles, and a sustainable security strategy for all future solution deployments
- Ensuring accurate delivery progress reporting for the team is completed and communicated to relevant stakeholders
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect who can bring their expertise to our team.
Key qualifications include:
- Proven experience in Security Architecture or similar teams
- Extensive experience in technical security controls, cloud infrastructures, and application security
- Experience with Security Architecture Frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001, SABSA, and TOGAF
We're looking for a candidate with a strong background in security architecture and design, with experience in:
- Identifying security flaws in solutions through threat modeling, architectural assessments, and design reviews
- Identity and Access Management, Data Leakage Prevention, Network and Infrastructure Security
- Cryptography, Encryption, and Key Management, Secrets Management, TLS, IPSec, Ciphers, X509
- Application Security Design, DevSecOps, Agile practices, Shift Left concepts, and automation
- Cloud security design and assurance, including experience of AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI platforms
- Development of foundational Security Architectures and Designs, Security Baselines, Standards, and Whitepapers
We're looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of technical trends and developments within the Telecoms/IT industry, including:
- In-depth understanding of technical trends and developments within the Telecoms/IT industry, such as AI, 5G, OpenRAN, DOCSIS, Edge Cloud, and Virtualization
- Experience of policy engineering, codifying security control assessments, and automation of any aspects of security and compliance monitoring

We're looking for a candidate with a strong educational background, including:
- Education to degree level or equivalent or able to demonstrate a similar level of ability from industrial experience
- CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, OSCP, SANS/GIAC or equivalent accreditation
- Certification in one or more cloud vendor offerings such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI
