Interim Tax Accountant Opportunity

Vitae Financial Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join its team on an interim basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax and VAT, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and payment, as well as identifying tax-savings opportunities and providing tax forecasting and analysis. They will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax submissions.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Completing and submitting tax filings, including corporation tax, VAT, benefits, and share schemes
  • Providing tax support and analysis to inform business strategy
  • Working with advisors in other countries as required
  • Identifying risks and opportunities to improve tax efficiency
  • Forecasting tax exposure and preparing accounts notes
  • Reconciling balance sheets and ensuring accurate financial reporting

Key skills and experience required:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Minimum 3 years corporate tax and/or VAT experience
  • Ability to analyse and improve processes
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong problem-solving and initiative-taking skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
