We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Tourism Advisor for Visit Guildford. As a key member of our small team, you will play a vital role in promoting Guildford Borough as a premier destination for tourists and visitors.

Our Tourist Information Centre is located in the historic Guildford House Gallery, a grade 1 listed building in the heart of the town. From here, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to visitors, helping them to make the most of their time in Guildford.

Guildford is a thriving market town with a rich history and culture, set in the beautiful Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As a Tourism Advisor, you will be passionate about showcasing the town's many attractions, including its shopping, leisure, and cultural offerings.

With regular train services to London and excellent bus links, Guildford is easily accessible from across the region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to visitors on Guildford's attractions and amenities
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote Guildford as a tourist destination
  • Work closely with local businesses and stakeholders to promote the town's many attractions
  • Contribute to the development of new tourism initiatives and projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a tourism or customer service role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for tourism and customer service

Contract Details:

Part-time, fixed-term contract
