About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital. As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our oncology pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinically screen all SACT prescriptions and process the planning and ordering of treatments for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care for oncology patients.
  • Conduct medication reviews and provide personalized pharmaceutical care plans for oncology patients.
  • Manage and review chemotherapy and other oncology-related drug therapies.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of oncology medications, including dose adjustments and monitoring for potential adverse effects.
  • Advise patients on the use of SACT medications, side effects counselling, and supplementary medication.
  • Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals, providing up-to-date information on oncology medications and treatment protocols.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the proper administration and management of oncology medications.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of oncology pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of oncology pharmacy services.
