About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Assistant Site Manager to join our Commercial and Construction team in the Southeast region. As an Apprentice Assistant Site Manager, you will be an integral part of the site team, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the entire build programme from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management team with tasks such as coordinating orders and deliveries of materials to site, maintaining drawing registers, and carrying out daily inspections.
  • Assist the site manager to ensure standards of Health and Safety are maintained, that all work is kept on programme, and that all construction work is delivered to the specification and high quality that we expect.

What Qualifications Will I Get?

What Opportunities Are There for Progression?

After gaining your level 3 apprenticeship, there is an opportunity to further your studies with a level 4 Construction Site Supervisor qualification. Career progression paths would be to an Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, Contracts Manager, then Construction Director.

This is a busy and varied support role. To be successful, you will need:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to develop strong and positive working relationships with both colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • High standard of verbal and written English.
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • An interest in construction and the built environment.
  • A proactive approach.
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
