About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Ambassador to join our team at Hfehmind in Hounslow. As a key member of our Men's Minds project, you will play a vital role in improving men's mental health outcomes by developing a mental health network supported and directed by its members.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have lived experience of mental health challenges, be non-judgmental and friendly, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. You will also be comfortable engaging with people who have mental health challenges or difficult life experiences, validating their strengths and experiences while using empowering language to overcome negative self-talk. A willingness to tap into your own experiences and use your stories to inspire hope in others is also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Coordinator with developing and delivering workshops and events
  • Take the lead in developing peer-led support initiatives
  • Provide person-centred, practical, and emotional support to individuals
What We Offer

In return for your time and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £25,000 per annum, flexible working hours between Tuesday and Thursday, and reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses. You will also receive an induction, training, and ongoing mentoring to support you in the role. What's more, you'll be part of a supportive team that prioritizes wellbeing and has great awareness of the mental health sector.
