Salary: £12.74 per hour, rising to £12.43 in the first year of service

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Practitioner to join our team at Turning Point Scotland's Glasgow Mental Health and Huntington's Service. As a Support Specialist, you will work with individuals who have various support needs, providing practical and emotional support to help them achieve their personal outcomes in daily life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to adults with complex and enduring mental health problems and symptomatic Huntington's disease
  • Assist individuals in maintaining their own tenancies and building a support network of positive relationships
  • Encourage individuals to participate in fulfilling and meaningful activities, including education, employability, and social activities
  • Work collaboratively with health and social work professionals, advocacy services, and other stakeholders to ensure person-centered support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, families, and communities to promote social inclusion and community involvement
Requirements

No previous working experience is required, as full training will be provided. We are looking for individuals who possess the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion, and integrity.
