We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Orthodontics to join our team at NHS Fife.

About the Role

This is a part-time substantive Consultant Orthodontist position, working with a team of experienced professionals to provide complex and multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment and orthognathic care to the residents of Fife.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide complex and multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment and orthognathic care to patients
  • Work with a team of Consultants, Specialty trainees, DCTs, and an excellent support team
  • Participate in the teaching and training of Specialty Registrars
  • Manage a wide range of malocclusions, with an increasing bias towards those requiring multidisciplinary care
  • Hold joint clinics with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery colleagues, Restorative Dentistry, and the Cleft Team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council
  • Be on the GDC Specialist List for Orthodontics
  • Hold the ISFE in Orthodontics or be within 6 months of completing training at the date of interview
