Ocean Housing is seeking a Property Maintenance Supervisor to join their Property Services function. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused service, ensuring projects meet quality and target standards.

This role involves supervising operational staff who undertake servicing, repairs, and renewals, ensuring all works meet Ocean Housing's standards for delivery timescale and quality.

The Property Maintenance Supervisor will be the first point of contact for problems or issues and will take responsibility for resolving them with operational staff. They will also carry out inspections to determine work requirements and progress them in line with policies, procedures, specifications, and time targets.

The successful candidate will be required to form part of the out-of-hours rota to provide supervisory support to multi-trade staff on call.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective line management of operational staff
  • Ensure all works meet Ocean Housing's standards
  • Be the first point of contact for problems or issues
  • Carry out inspections to determine work requirements

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualification in a relevant building trade to NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent Level 3 qualification
  • Experience of effective sub-contractor management
  • Significant knowledge and experience of working in the building and/or property maintenance industry
  • Demonstrable experience of effective supervision of staff and team building
  • Knowledge and understanding across multiple trade disciplines
  • Experience of effective sub-contractor management
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service and developing relationships
  • Experience of producing detailed work schedules
  • Knowledge of CAR 2012 and CDM 2015 regulations
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety responsibilities in the workplace and lone working
