Job Purpose

MandateWire is a subscription-based business that provides in-depth analysis and insights on the investment activities of institutional investors in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. As a Senior Reporter, you will play a critical role in developing and executing our editorial strategy, working closely with our global editor and team to produce high-quality content that meets the needs of our subscribers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Write feature articles on institutional investment trends across Europe, leveraging your expertise and research skills to provide insightful analysis and commentary.
  • Produce data-driven articles based on proprietary research, using AI and data visualisation tools to create engaging and informative content.
  • Stay up-to-date with major pension fund and institutional investment trends across Europe, conducting interviews with senior executives and translating relevant documents to English.
  • Assist in the commissioning of articles from other contributors, including freelance writers, investment consultants, and in-house reporters.
  • Support editorial staff training and development, helping to build a strong and cohesive team.
  • Deputise for the global editor in their absence, taking on additional responsibilities and ensuring seamless continuity.
  • Contribute to the quarterly and annual production of MandateWire's industry trends reports, working closely with our research team to develop in-depth analysis and insights.
  • Liaise with marketing and product teams to promote and enhance the product on social media, leveraging your expertise to develop engaging content and campaigns.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, generating insightful conference coverage and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute new ideas and assist with the expansion of the product, helping to drive growth and innovation.

Qualifications and Capabilities

  • Strong knowledge of financial terminology and the institutional investment industry.
  • Experience interviewing senior executives and writing for a financial news service.
  • Superb organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse large amounts of data and identify relevant material.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to adapt to various content management systems and AI tools.

  • Knowledge of a second European language.
  • Editing skills.
