At Gold Care Homes, we're committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for our residents. As a Maintenance Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine checks on systems and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure the safety of residents and staff.
- Monitor and respond to fire alarms, boilers, and lifts to maintain a secure and comfortable environment.
- Make effective use of resources to minimize waste and optimize maintenance schedules.
- Conduct banking and purchasing tasks to support the home's operations.
- Maintain the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with other teams and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with the home's policies and procedures, particularly the Fire Policy.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Assist with the induction of new staff by training them on building layout and fire policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies at all times.
- Manage stock control and ordering, and ensure accurate acceptance and checking of deliveries.
- Stay aware of health and safety requirements and report any concerns or incidents promptly.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and visitors to ensure a positive and respectful environment.
