Engineering Manager – Product Safety Expert

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Safety Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of the Dreadnought Class SSBN programme.
Key Responsibilities- Support the production of safety build assurance justification and review safety arguments and evidence provided by BAE.
- Liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on concessions where the platform build differs from design intent.
- Act as the MOD technical liaison with platform and nuclear propulsion build committees.
- Provide the safety interface with propulsion/reactor/ships/weapons test groups.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and experience with senior board levels.
- Have gained programme management experience.
- Have previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems.
- Have gained good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures.
- Hold a degree within a STEM subject.
