As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the ongoing development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Acute Internal Medicine team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Develop and implement standards, procedures, and systems to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient departmental functioning.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Contribute to educational programs for junior medical staff, including formal teaching sessions and clinical audits.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- MBBS or equivalent qualification.
- Entry on the Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within six months of interview), CESR.
- Evidence of specific training in acute medicine and/or general medicine.
- MRCP.
- Acute Medicine SCE Higher Degree.
- Undertaken Acute Internal Medicine training acceptable to the Royal College of Physicians for appointment to Consultant Status.
- Membership of Appropriate Professional bodies.
- Consultant level experience of Acute Medicine work.
