Senior MySQL Database Developer/DBA

As a Senior MySQL Database Developer/DBA at OpenSourced, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our high-traffic, multiple database applications. Your expertise in MySQL database administration, development, and performance tuning will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database architectures
  • Develop and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and data retrieval
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements
  • Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards
  • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in MySQL database administration and development
  • Proficiency in database performance tuning, optimization, and execution plans
  • Experience with migrating SQL Server databases to MySQL
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance with industry standards
  • Experience with logging and analysis tools (Elasticsearch, Rollbar Sentry)
  • Strong expertise in developing, managing, and testing backup and recovery plans
