We are excited to be recruiting for a Trainee Research & Development Technician to join our prestigious IT client, a global company based in the UK.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a student leaver, someone taking a gap from education, or a career changer looking to start their career in IT without going to university. You will be part of the R&D team working with experienced support technicians and systems administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Trainee R&D Technician, you will work as a part of a team, supported by skilled and experienced individuals who are motivated to train and coach you on all aspects of interacting with our worldwide customer base.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues across intricate environments.
Personal Attributes
- Confident to interact with people at all levels.
- Have great problem-solving skills.
- Eager to learn new technologies.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a team.
- Manage your time effectively.
Requirements
- 7 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-5 or A-C including Math's and English.
- 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grades A*-B in a mathematical or science subject (e.g. Math's, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science).
Benefits
- Salary increases to £24K at end of year 1 plus a second increment at end of year 2 to £28K (subject to achieving goals).
- Holiday entitlement starting at 25 days incrementing from year 4 by 1 day per full year up to a maximum of 33 days (excluding public holidays).
- Company pension scheme - 8% of base salary.
- Private medical insurance (after the first 3 months).

- Free on-site parking.
This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday 37.5 hours a week, due to the location being a car driver would be beneficial.
