Job Description

Maintain a safe, legal and compliant transport operation by ensuring adherence to statutory laws, EU Drivers Hours Rules & Regulations, Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations, Operators Licence and OCRS obligations, FORS requirements, and Company policies and procedures.

Compile and circulate daily fleet utilisation and availability reports. Manage periodic and adhoc fleet repairs and maintenance, including defect rectification, breakdowns, VORs and spare parts replenishment. Ensure cost-effective and efficient solutions for maintaining a roadworthy fleet.

Control temporary and permanent fleet amendments, including vehicle condition checks and registration to relevant accounts and portals (e.g. TfL, Dart Charge, Mersey Gateway, Tyne Tunnel, SNAP, Operator Licence and motor insurance etc.). Investigate driver and vehicle related accidents, incidents, claims and convictions and maintain effective communication with the motor insurance provider.

Uphold the company Health & Safety system by ensuring current and clear documentation, and adhering to processes.

Upkeep professional organisations and accreditations.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.

Requirements
  • National CPC Qualification
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong understanding of domestic transport regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and individually
  • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems

Estimated Salary Range: £37,500 - £41,250 per annum, depending on experience.
