About the Team

Our National Audit Technical Services (NATS) team plays a crucial role in maintaining technical quality, providing support to partners and staff, and conducting quality control reviews. A key subset of NATS is the financial reporting team, which offers expert guidance on technical accounting and financial reporting matters.

We are expanding our financial reporting team to meet anticipated growth in our audit practice. This exciting opportunity will enable you to contribute to providing high-quality audits, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and lead on implementing financial reporting changes as they emerge.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide targeted expertise on complex audits, supporting teams in delivering high-quality results
  2. Assist with consultations submitted to the firm's service desk, ensuring timely and effective responses
  3. Perform second opinion reviews of technical accounting matters under IFRS and UK GAAP, developing our teams' skills and knowledge
  4. Draft corporate reporting internal technical communications and practice aids
  5. Collaborate with team members on ongoing projects, including input into audit work programmes, development of technical materials, and researching new financial reporting developments
  6. Act as a point of contact for informal technical queries from client-facing partners and staff, both locally and nationwide

Requirements and Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience as a Senior Manager in an audit technical team or similar environment
  • Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge, with experience in performing technical reviews of listed entity financial statements
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
