Fostering Social Worker Specialist

As a Supervising Social Worker with ISP, you will play a pivotal role in supporting foster parents and promoting the well-being of looked-after children. Your expertise and enthusiasm will enable you to work collaboratively with our foster parents, developing meaningful and relevant supervision strategies to ensure the highest standards of care.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision and Support
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker who can provide direct support to foster parents within a realistic caseload, enabling high-quality supervision and monitoring of their practice. Your role will involve:
- Providing regular supervision to allocated foster parents, promoting their compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Working in partnership with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate full participation in assessment, planning, review, and decision-making processes related to safeguarding and child protection.
Quality Assurance and Training
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining high standards through quality assurance activities, promoting continuous improvement and best practice within our fostering services.
- Developing and delivering training programs for prospective and current foster parents, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional care.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience of children and families social work.
- Experience or willingness to work within a therapeutic model of child care.
- Exemplary report writing skills.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
- A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.
