Housing Support Officer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Support Officer to join our team at Tony Long House in Swindon. As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential support to our customers with physical and learning disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one support, promoting safety through risk assessments, and regularly assessing customer needs to create effective support plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to encourage customers to maximise their potential and independence
  • Offer one-to-one support as required
  • Promote safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers' needs
  • Regularly assess customer needs, write, and update support plans
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with adults with physical/learning disabilities or high needs
  • Ability to relate and empathise with people with physical/learning disabilities
  • Capacity to work effectively in highly pressured situations
  • Experience developing and maintaining accurate records and support plans
