The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Administrator to lead the management and coordination of clinical office services within its Neurology and Neuropsychology department. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to take on a challenging role, working closely with clinical teams to deliver high-quality services to patients and ensure the best possible outcomes.

About the Role

As a key member of the department's leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality services to patients and clinical teams. This includes managing access, quality, and performance standards, as well as ensuring that local administrative processes are fit for purpose and compliant with Trust policy.

You will oversee the PTL/RTT and waiting lists, working closely with the clinical teams to ensure that services are providing the best possible standards to patients on their clinical pathway. Additionally, you will manage the Neurology and Neuropsychology Administrative Teams, ensuring effective training, management, and appraisal processes are in place.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior healthcare professionals and interpret complex data to understand patterns and trends. You must also demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality and patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate clinical office services within Neurology and Neuropsychology, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality services to patients and clinical teams.
  • Oversee the PTL/RTT and waiting lists, working closely with clinical teams to ensure best possible standards to patients on their clinical pathway.
  • Lead and manage the Neurology and Neuropsychology Administrative Teams, ensuring effective training, management, and appraisal processes are in place.
  • Develop and implement local processes to support clinical capacity and resource utilisation, ensuring efficient use of available resources.
  • Coordinate and manage clinical staff annual leave, ensuring services are appropriately covered at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced leader with:

  • Comprehensive experience in line management of multiple staff, including dealing with HR and development issues.
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with complex organisational problems and managing change.
  • Proven knowledge of patient pathway issues and waiting times.
  • Previous experience of decision-making and using own initiative.
  • Broad understanding of corporate strategy and governmental direction for NHS care.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including opportunities for continuing professional development, a supportive work environment, and a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
