About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss manufacturer. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance on our production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance schedules consistently and on time to prevent equipment failures.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within the production equipment, applying your knowledge of PLC's, Servo Drives, and Line Automation.
  3. Participate in summer and winter overhauls to maintain and repair plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  4. Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance and efficiency, working closely with the production and maintenance teams.
  5. Complete required work permits and ensure all tasks meet health and safety standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  6. Support special projects and other tasks as assigned by the General Manager, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  1. Time-served, multi-skilled maintenance professional with 18th Edition wiring regulations certification.
  2. Proven experience in a production environment working shifts, with a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and protocols.
  3. Knowledge of PLC's, Servo Drives, Robotics, and Line Automation is highly desirable, as is flexibility to work shifts as required.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach, capable of engaging with production and maintenance colleagues, as well as management.
