About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub team based at Police Headquarters, Hinchingbrooke. This is a part-time opportunity (2 days a week) that will cover Cambridgeshire County Council and be co-located with partner agencies within the Integrated Front Door Service.

The successful candidate will have the ability to undertake multi-agency enquiries, triage, and apply thresholds for intervention and risk analysis. They will also have excellent verbal communication and written skills, with the ability to engage with children, young people, and their families to understand their situation and consider what support they might require.

This is a hybrid role, with days spent in the office and days working from home. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team made up of qualified and alternatively qualified staff, co-located with health, police, Adult MASH, Early Help Hub, and education colleagues, as well as virtual partners.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and all staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. The role will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service and a Police vetting check.

About You

We are looking for confident and dynamic individuals who enjoy making a difference in their local community, are curious and spot things that others might not see, enjoy building relationships and likes to explore possibilities.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration, with the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently.
