Transforming Waste Management with Data-Driven Insights
Biffa, a leading waste management company, is seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize our waste management processes.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting service delivery Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency in producing and analyzing reports using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, effective influencing and persuasion skills, and exceptional time management abilities are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established with the Councils and internal targets set by Biffa.
- Establish and maintain a self-monitoring mechanism to ensure compliance and optimize operational schedules for efficiency.
- Identify and communicate instances of non-compliance to Business Managers and collaborate with management, operational teams, and internal stakeholders to implement improvement plans.
- Deliver comprehensive reports, including in-depth evaluations of potential trial initiatives, to fulfill Council specifications.
- Analyze and present data for inclusion in Council reports and participate in client-facing meetings as needed.
- Propose and oversee continuous improvement endeavors with Councils and Business Managers.
- Support adherence to performance standards and assist Business Managers in devising strategies for efficiency and sustainability enhancements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated success in meeting clearly defined service delivery KPIs.
- Proven track record of implementing and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives within operational and service environments.
- Proficiency in producing and analyzing reports using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of the demands of working within time-sensitive service environments.
- Effective influencing and persuasion skills to drive initiatives forward.
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with assertiveness in communication.
- Exceptional time management abilities, adept at working under tight deadlines.
- Organizational prowess with a knack for simplifying complex issues.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to measure, monitor, and take corrective action based on data.
- Effective communicator across all levels, proficient in both verbal and written communication.
