Accounts Assistant Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our team at NC Associates. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for processing purchase and sales ledger transactions, working closely with the Finance Manager, and reporting on financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase ledger transactions, including invoicing and payment processing
  • Process sales ledger transactions, including credit control and debt collection
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
  • Chase outstanding payments from customers and suppliers
  • Process weekly payroll through Sage software
  • Respond to queries from customers and suppliers in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a financial role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Proficiency in Sage accounts software and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
