Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our residential service for children in care, providing operational excellence and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.


About the Role

This permanent position offers a full-time contract with 40 hours per week, based in Newark. The salary is £75,000 per annum, making it an attractive opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in childcare operations management.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management: Oversee the residential homes, ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative, and quality assurance requirements.
  2. Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement robust policies and procedures for placements, safeguarding, and staff training.
  3. Safeguarding: Investigate concerns and make informed decisions based on evidence, producing investigation reports and recommendations.
  4. Leadership and Team Management: Provide cause-centric leadership to Operations Managers, promoting high professional standards of care and support.
  5. Community Engagement: Collaborate with Operational Managers to develop strategies that support ongoing learning, staff engagement, and alignment to the organization's culture.

Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience in children's residential care, including operational management, new service implementation, and working with regulatory bodies.
  • Skills: Operational knowledge, communication skills, and leadership abilities.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in childcare or related fields.
