Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will provide efficient and effective electrical maintenance support across the site, including Operational Processing, DC & Assembly, Offices, and Meeting Rooms. Your tasks will include:

  • Installing, maintaining, inspecting, and testing electrical equipment and appliances to safety standards
  • Carrying out diagnostic repairs and planned maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operation of plant, equipment, and electrical systems
  • Identifying faults and implementing repairs linked to faulty electrical plant and equipment
  • Providing technical assistance to maintenance staff and engineers engaged in research, development, design, and application
  • Supporting the CMMS (Computerised maintenance management system)
  • Ensuring a consistent high-quality service and complying with Health & Safety and security procedures and guidelines

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Inspection & Testing City & Guilds 2391 (advantageous)
  • Exposure to industrial plant & equipment electrical maintenance
  • Ability to read, follow, and understand electrical schematic drawings
  • Use of technical knowledge to install, check, and repair electrical systems
  • Experience of health and safety standards, including COSHH, DSEAR, Lock off & Isolation
  • Use of various hand tools & equipment effectively
  • Excellent numeracy and computer skills
