About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our client's team as an Interior Systems CAD Design Engineer. This is a contract position based in Leamington, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes one day a week on-site in Warwick.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop interior systems for automotive applications, including cockpit, cabin, seating, door trim, restraints, and HVAC.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Mouldflow feedback.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets industry best practices and legislation.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including release notes and design rules.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in interior design and technology.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive design, specifically in interior systems.
  • Strong knowledge of interior methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Experience with plastic injection moulded parts and wrapped parts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
