Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Executive Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality culinary experiences to our residents while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking fresh seasonal food, with experience of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be confident in managing a team, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus
  • To manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • To maintain high standards of hygiene and safety within the kitchen
  • To work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements

To be successful as an Executive Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A good understanding of nutrition and cooking techniques
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
