About the Role
As a Technical Programme Manager at Tesco, you will be responsible for delivering complex technology programmes that support colleagues and enhance customer experience. You will work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and business teams to drive programme success and ensure timely delivery of value. Your strong delivery assurance capabilities will enable you to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the programme stays on track.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and track a comprehensive plan to deliver programme goals, including technical implementation plans, and ensure stakeholders are informed
• Utilize influencing skills to drive consensus with Engineering and Product teams, ensuring the best value and solution are obtained
• Identify potential risks and issues, establish processes, facilitate discussions, and manage escalations
• Understand technical architecture to foresee impact on dependencies, delivery timelines, and implementation plans
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define annual budgetary requirements
• Build positive relationships with stakeholders to deliver software or professional services, holding them accountable for delivery and improvement plans
• Contribute to the TPM community and share best practices

Requirements
• Proven record of delivering technology programmes across various infrastructure technologies
• Business Analysis skills to ensure clear scoping of work and initiation of projects
• Experience in building credible relationships and influencing senior management
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, demonstrating resolution independence
• Finance and Procurement experience to ensure delivery approach is clear
• Core Technology fundamentals in infrastructure with SDLC and ITSM training
• Understanding of when to use appropriate Programme Methodologies
• Managing Risk within projects and programmes
• Delivering Programme Governance at senior levels
• Good reporting skills for programmes and financial forecasting
• Product Methodologies
• Retail Technology Awareness
• Development Life-cycle
• Excellent JIRA/Confluence skills to manage programmes of work
• Strong project delivery assurance experience
