Senior Deputy Head Opportunity at Mount House School

Mount House School, a small and ambitious co-educational independent day school, seeks an inspiring and dedicated Senior Deputy Head to support the ongoing advancement of the school and its inclusive educational offering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operational day-to-day running of the school, while supporting the delivery of its strategic vision set within a culture of high standards and aspiration for all.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and committed educational leader with a proven track record of delivering change, ideally within the context of a small to medium-sized independent school with a similarly inclusive and rounded educational ethos.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head in the development and implementation of the school's strategic vision
  • Overseeing the operational day-to-day running of the school
  • Leading and managing a team of staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the school's values and ethos are upheld

The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for high-quality teaching and learning, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to engage, support, and develop a committed staff body, and will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
