Medical Administrator Lung Cancer CNS Services Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic Cancer Team as a Medical Administrator for Lung Cancer CNS Services.

As a Medical Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across departments.
You will be based at Basildon Hospital and will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues across the Trust via remote access.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the CNS team, including data entry, record-keeping, and correspondence.
- Liaise with departments across the Trust, general practitioners, patients, relatives, and visitors to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Support the multi-disciplinary team members in their daily tasks and activities.
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the CNS team.

Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications:
- GCSE English level (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience in using word processing software
Desirable Qualifications:
- Advanced certificates (NVQ or similar)
- Customer service qualification
Essential Experience:
- Experience of working as part of a busy team
- Experience dealing with members of the public
- Minimum of 60 words per minute audio typing speed
- Knowledge of an office and reception environment
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of the patient administration system
- Knowledge of clinical electronic documentation system
