Parking Enforcement Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team at Buckinghamshire Council. As a key member of our Parking Services team, you will be responsible for enforcing parking regulations and ensuring compliance with traffic laws.
Key Responsibilities:- Patrol designated parking areas to identify and issue parking fines to vehicles in contravention of parking regulations.
- Work closely with the Civil Parking Enforcement Supervisor to ensure effective delivery of parking services.
- Utilize handheld computers and Council systems to upload and download data, and to determine infringements.
- Suspend and reinstate parking bays or places, including the installation or removal of signs and notices as requested.
- Perform regular checks on parking equipment and report any repairs or maintenance required.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience in enforcement and issuing penalty charge notices.
- Extensive knowledge of Traffic Regulations Orders and parking legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts with the public.
- Knowledge of car park equipment, including handheld devices and printers.
