About the Role

Screwfix is a leading UK retailer looking for a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team.

Job Summary:

As Head of Financial Operations, you will be responsible for leading a small team and contributing significantly to the Screwfix Finance Function. You will play a key role in preparing accounts and ensuring balance sheet integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a small team, providing regular feedback and conducting 1 to 1s.
  • Act as the technical lead on accounting for Fixed and Leased Assets.
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Leased Assets.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Act as a control owner for assigned Internal Controls.

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA within a financial accounting background.
  • Experience in the retail industry and large company experience in a centralised head office structure.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
