We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Support Specialist to join our dedicated team in KS2.

Job Overview

This is a part-time temporary position working 27 hours per week, (8:45 - 3:15 with one afternoon off per week), term time only (38 weeks and 2 days per year).

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup of learning areas and lead intervention groups to support children's learning needs
  • Occasionally be responsible for the whole class, working in partnership with class teachers and other teaching assistants
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive environment where all children can thrive
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in a similar role
  • A love of working with children and inspiring learning and development
  • Good subject knowledge in reading, writing, and maths to assist the teacher in delivering lessons
  • High expectations of yourself and of children
  • A good standard of education together with good numeracy and literacy skills. With English and Maths GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
