Biological Science Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Biological Science Technician to join our dedicated Science Team at Nelson and Colne College.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining resources for various biology courses, including micro-biological media and cultures. They will also research, design, and trial practicals as required, set-up and remove equipment in laboratories, clean and maintain equipment and apparatus, and care for plant and animal collections.

• A Level 2 qualification in Science, Maths, and English at Grade C or above
• A relevant Lab Technician qualification and/or science study at level 4 or above
• Experience of working as a science technician in a laboratory
• Excellent IT skills and communication skills

• An estimated annual salary of £23,504.99 pro rata, depending on experience
• A generous annual leave entitlement increasing to a maximum of 28 days (with service), plus Bank Holidays and closure days - totalling 41 days per year
