About the Role

We are working with a top London law firm to find an exceptional Assistant Company Secretary. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, dedicated team and provide excellent company secretarial services to a wide range of clients.

The role is based in London and offers a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Our client is a unique law firm known for their blend of expertise, agility, and collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client registers and filings, ensuring all records are up-to-date and handled efficiently with Companies House.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they are aware of annual filing requirements and addressing their queries in a timely manner.
  • Provide document assistance to clients and fee earners, including notarised/legalised documents when needed.
  • Focus on service excellence, proactively ensuring the highest standards are maintained for clients.
  • Lead the company secretarial team, resolving complex issues, and setting high standards for the team.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming legislation to maintain a fresh knowledge base for the team.
  • Maintain accurate records using the Kudocs system and collaborate with the firm to meet requirements.

Requirements

  • Qualified company secretary or experienced legal executive/paralegal.
  • At least one year's experience in a company secretarial role.
  • Familiarity with Diligent Entitiues.
  • Experience with Companies House procedures.
  • Ability to anticipate client needs and provide timely support.
  • Commitment to staying updated on best practices and new developments.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude.
