Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Office based with 1 day a week on site

Type: Permanent Role

Salary: £45,000+ package

A chance to work with one of the fastest growing Main Contractors in the UK. Our client has doubled in size year on year for the last 8 years, making them a hot commodity in the industry.

With a current turnover of £405m and a knockout order book for the next 2-5 years, we have been asked to supply strong QS to drive the commercial management of these works. One of these roles is within their Life Science Division, where we are looking for an Assistant/Project level QS to manage projects ranging from £5m to £45m in value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost valuations with sub-contractors.
  • Negotiation with sub-contractors.
  • Procurement of all supply items and subcontractor packages.
  • Preparation of interim valuations.
  • Chairing site and client progress meetings.
  • Managing interim payments to sub-contractors.
  • Regularly updating projected final accounts.
  • Recruiting, mentoring and leading junior Commercial staff.
  • Regularly updating and managing cash flow forecasts.
  • Preparation and agreement of all final account matters.
  • Monthly cost/value reconciliation.
  • Pricing of all contract variations.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years Quantity Surveyor experience.
