Painter and Decorator Job Opportunity

Pertemps is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our client's team in Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting condition surveys, maintaining a schedule of works, and planning and organizing painting and decorating tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Maintenance/Estates Managers to identify and prioritize painting and decorating works.
  • Plan and organize tasks, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient completion of works.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including stripping and removing wallpapers.
  • Apply paint and other materials to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Clear rooms as required, with assistance from Estates teams.
  • Ensure work areas are left clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Comply with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
Requirements:
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work in Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
  • Good understanding of basic DIY skills.
  • NVQ or apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
