**Job Description:**

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join our friendly and experienced Special School Nursing Team (SSN). The nursing team is responsible for ensuring the health needs of the children are met using a family-centred approach to assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the health needs of the children within a specialist education provision.

The successful candidate will have recent experience of working with children and people with learning disabilities. Key responsibilities include assisting qualified staff in the provision of nursing care, participating in performing tasks necessary to meet the needs of the ward/unit/community, and assisting service users outside the unit/ward/community environment to establish and maintain social contacts.

**Person Specification:**

  • Healthcare qualification Level 3 or working towards gaining equivalent level.
  • Good basic education or GSCE in English and maths.
