We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Personal Assistance Worker to join our team at Innovative Start. As a key member of our care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to clients in their own homes.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic individual to work in a fast-paced care environment. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a care setting, with the ability to learn new skills and gain new experiences. You will work collaboratively with our registered manager, team leaders, and care coordinators to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of care and support.
Key Duties
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, your primary responsibilities will include providing personal care, such as washing, dressing, and bathing; assisting with mobility; preparing and cooking meals; administering medications; and offering companionship. You will also support clients with daily tasks like housekeeping, shopping, and managing appointments, while observing and reporting any changes in the clients' condition to ensure their well-being.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of a Care Certificate or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care)
- Previous experience of working within a care environment
- Ability to use own initiative and communicate effectively
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
- Lone working capabilities
