Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing construction resource planning and strategy at the bid stage to ensure project success.
  • Contributing to the development of construction phase Health and Safety (H&S) plans on winning bids, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Liaising with Project Managers to manage all Electrical Installation and Mechanical installation, including the development of programmes, risk assessments, and method statements, lifting plans, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborating with Client Operations Teams throughout the construction phase to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Receiving, managing, and issuing drawings for construction at site level, verifying that construction meets design requirements.
  • Working with Team Leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant site delivery, maximizing resource utilization.
  • Managing internal direct reports for all construction teams and subcontractors on site activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Planning and providing all necessary documentation, resources, tools, materials, consumables, H&S equipment, and transport to ensure safe and efficient construction.
  • Managing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as required, including pressure testing of pipes and testing of all pipework and civil construction, ensuring all applicable test equipment is available for review when requested.
  • Completing site audits and inspections as required, ensuring the highest standard of quality is maintained.

To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar level role, ideally within an engineering or civils environment, and an excellent working knowledge of the water industry would be beneficial. Awareness of NEC3 Construction and Engineering Contracts, as well as an electrical or mechanical bias, are essential for the role. Travel to various sites throughout the country is required, and a valid UK driving license is essential for the position.
