We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Water Infrastructure Design Manager to join our team in Leeds as part of a multi-disciplinary department providing detailed designs for water-related projects in the UK.


This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects, collaborating with clients and stakeholders to deliver sustainable and innovative solutions. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading and participating in projects from conception to completion, including developing project briefs, agreeing deliverables, and managing internal project start-up meetings.


You will also be involved in business development activities, assisting with the preparation of capability statements and submitting tenders to win new and repeat work. Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement comprehensive design strategies for water infrastructure projects
  • Lead and participate in project teams to deliver design solutions within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, mentoring and developing others to enhance their skills and expertise
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions
  • Assist in business development activities, preparing tender submissions and engaging with clients to promote our services

Requirements:



  • Chartered Engineer status with relevant institution (e.g., ICE or CIWEM)
  • Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, with excellent communication abilities (verbal and written)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of water and wastewater non-infrastructure design, including process engineering and MEICA integration
  • Extensive experience in design, contract, and tender preparation, tender assessment, and contract administration
  • Experience in mentoring and developing others, with a proven track record of enhancing team performance and productivity
