Academic Historian

GSL Education is seeking a qualified History Teacher to join one of our client schools in South Shields.

As a History Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students and deliver engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and a deep appreciation for historical events.

• Design and deliver lessons that cover a wide range of historical periods, events, and themes, ensuring students develop a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
• Create or adapt teaching resources, including lesson plans, worksheets, and multimedia presentations, to engage students and support their learning.
• Maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom activities, and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Assess students' understanding through various methods, including exams, essays, and presentations, and provide feedback to help them improve.
• Promote inclusivity and challenge stereotypes in lessons, presenting a diverse range of perspectives and voices.

• Previous experience working as a teacher within an educational setting.
• Original or certified copies of degree certificates relevant to teaching history subjects.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate or evidence of completion of a recognized teacher training program.
• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
