Job Overview

Viapath is seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist Specialist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. As an expert in immunohistochemistry, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform routine histopathology laboratory techniques and immunohistochemistry procedures
  • Work closely with a team of Biomedical Scientists, Medical Laboratory Assistants, and Trainee Biomedical Scientists to achieve high-quality results
  • Participate in quality and health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Develop and maintain expertise in molecular pathology techniques and molecular diagnostics
  • Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information
Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science or equivalent first degree acceptable to the Health Professions Council
  • HCPC Registration (Histopathology Specialisation)
  • Participation in continuing professional development
  • Experience in supervision, training, and teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
