About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will report to the Group Head of Procurement, covering allocated Indirect procurement activities. This role requires a skilled professional with expertise in indirect and capital site procurement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build robust relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working as the Category Lead on Business-wide Indirect Spend
  • Supporting the Group Head of Procurement on Capital Spend Projects
  • Supporting Site Procurement Leads with day-to-day Indirect & Capex category order management & supplier management
  • Negotiating with suppliers to achieve market competitive pricing and acceptable commercial terms
  • Collecting and analysing business spend data and Supplier Sustainability Status
  • Identifying and aligning with key internal stakeholders on agreed Business Requirements and ensuring that all Goods and Services purchased meet those standards
  • Collating internal customer feedback on supplier performance
  • Delivering reports on procurement data, and other agreed Supplier Performance metrics to the senior management team and other stakeholders
  • Conducting supplier review meetings to discuss performance and driving continuous improvement opportunities
  • Supporting the roll-out of our Group Sustainability processes, working closely with key suppliers & internal stakeholders
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential Knowledge & previous experience of indirect & capital site procurement
  • Excellent communication skills to help negotiations and ensure that expectations are clear
  • Previous experience of managing RFI's and RFQ's
  • Ability to build robust relationships with External and Internal Stakeholders
  • Previous experience of procurement or site buyer roles
  • Robust IT skills with working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality control
  • CIPS level 4 qualified or working towards CIPS qualification
Working Relationships
  • Internal: Ability to work cross-functionally across all departments
  • External: Suppliers
Additional Information

Travel requirements across manufacturing sites will be necessary. This role can be based from either Comber, Coleraine or Cardiff.
