Job Title: Model Maker
Job Summary:
Morson Talent is seeking a skilled Model Maker to join a leading motorsport/aerospace company. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality models for wind tunnel testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure wind tunnel projects are manufactured to a high standard and meet tight deadlines.
- Build large complex mechanical assemblies for the wind tunnel model.
- Diagnose and solve technical challenges as they arise.
- Manage workload and meet targets set by the team.
- Work with the design team to improve the efficiency and quality of the wind tunnel model.
- Maintain consistent high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Assist within other areas of the department as required.
- Be proactive in identifying and mitigating Health and Safety risks.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a similar position within the motorsport/aerospace industry.
- Up-to-date experience of wind tunnel model part preparation.
- Up-to-date experience of wind tunnel models and testing.
- Good mechanical understanding of current wind tunnel models.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A methodical and thorough approach to work.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a dependable team player.
- Good IT skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help throughout the department.
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet time-critical deadlines.
