About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maths Teacher to join our team at a well-established mainstream secondary school in County Durham. As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective maths instruction to secondary school students across Key Stages 3-4.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum, differentiating teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
  • Employ a range of teaching methods to facilitate pupil learning and promote academic achievement.
  • Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maths curriculum and schemes of work.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • PGCE in Maths or related subject from a recognised provider.
  • Experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Maths lessons across ability ranges.
