Senior Actuarial Analyst

Oliver James Associates Ltd. is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst or Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their actuarial technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and the legislative framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Checking actuarial calculations and communicating results to team members and client teams.
  • Actuarial valuation calculations, funding updates, transfer values, accounting disclosures, risk transfer calculations, and GMP equalisation.

This role would be an excellent opportunity for actuarial students or professionals looking to move into a technical role within a consultancy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to own and run strands of work within the team, take on management roles, and contribute to team learning and development.

Requirements:
  • Defined Benefit actuarial experience, ideally from within another consultancy.
  • An understanding of the legislative framework and structure of defined benefit pension schemes.
